1. Can I use my own skis for a custom piece?

Absolutely. This is a meaningful way to preserve memories. At MUKA, we welcome you to provide your own skis for a truly personal commission. Our master craftsmen, led by an Intangible Cultural Heritage inheritor, will skillfully integrate them into your custom design. This service is treated as a special custom project, with pricing and timeline arranged on a case-by-case basis.

2. Do I have to provide my own skis or materials?

No, you do not. As a manufacturer, we have access to a wide and stable supply of high-quality solid woods (like ash, oak, and walnut). We can create the ski aesthetic using these materials, or we can source suitable ski profiles for your bulk order. We also offer all-wood versions of our ski-style furniture, which is a very popular option.

3. Are your chairs comfortable?

Yes, comfort is integral to our design. We design with ergonomics in mind, paying close attention to seat angle, lumbar support, and armrest height. Our Ski Adirondack Chair and Rocker are ergonomically designed with carefully calculated proportions. We refine these for commercial use, ensuring guest satisfaction in hotels, resorts, and restaurants.

4. Are your products suitable for outdoor use?

Absolutely, they are built for it. All our products and finishes are premium outdoor-rated. We primarily use high-quality solid hardwoods like oak and ash, combined with specialized finishing systems (such as marine-grade hardwax oil or UV-resistant lacquer). This protects against moisture, UV rays, and temperature changes, ensuring durability in lodge settings. We still recommend covering or storing them seasonally in extreme weather months for maximum longevity.

5. How durable is your furniture? With proper care, how long will it last?

Very durable. The materials are chosen to handle extreme conditions, and we treat the wood with the highest quality stains and paints. With proper care (occasional cleaning and reapplying oil or sealer 1–2 times per year), our furniture can last 10-20+ years outdoors and even longer if stored seasonally. Indoors, they will last a lifetime and become heirlooms.

6. What is your warranty policy, and what happens if something goes wrong?

We offer a free 3-year warranty on craftsmanship for all our products. If any issue arises due to a workmanship defect within this period, we will repair or replace the item for you.

Please note that as a factory based in China, we are unable to provide on-site repair services internationally. In the event of an issue covered by our warranty, you would need to return the product to our workshop for repair. The cost of return shipping to us is the responsibility of the customer.

Once we receive the item and assess the issue, we will complete the repair and ship it back to you. Our team remains available to guide you through the process and answer any questions along the way.

7. Can you show me examples of past work?

Absolutely. We have a gallery of past builds on our website and social media pages. We can also send specific examples upon request for the style you're wanting. For bulk commercial projects, we can provide case studies and photos of completed resort, hotel, and restaurant installations.

8. Do you do custom work beyond chairs?

Yes, we love custom work. We build benches, coffee tables, coat racks, end tables, mirrors, bar stools, swings, and full patio sets-all customizable to match your style. Whether it's a mountain theme, sports team theme, or family crest burned or painted into the wood, options are extensive. If you can dream it up, we can build it.

9. What materials do you use besides wood?

We use high-quality solid hardwoods (oak, ash, pine, walnut) as our primary material. For our ski-themed pieces, the aesthetic is crafted from wood, not recycled skis. All hardware is weather-resistant stainless steel. We focus on sustainable practices, reclaiming and reusing materials whenever possible to minimize waste.

10. What is your Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?

For our standard ski chair designs, our MOQ is typically 100 pieces per customization (same size, wood, finish). This allows competitive factory-direct pricing and efficient production. For special, complex new designs, we can discuss smaller quantities. For one-off special custom projects (like a unique prototype), we accept single-piece orders at a higher price point.

11. What are your lead times?

Standard bulk orders: Approximately 1 month production time.

Orders with custom metal parts: May extend to 2-3 months.

In-stock items: Can ship within 1 week.

Rush orders: We can often expedite builds for special events or deadlines-just let us know as early as possible.

12. What are your shipping options and costs to my country (e.g., Germany)?

Sea Freight: Approximately 35 days (most economical).

Air Freight: Approximately 5 days (faster, higher cost).

We provide professional export packaging (often KD for container optimization), tracking, and all necessary documentation. Import duties (e.g., 19% VAT to Germany) are the receiver's responsibility.

13. How do you ensure consistent quality across a bulk order?

We achieve consistency through:

Master-Led Standards: Processes supervised by our Intangible Cultural Heritage master.

Skilled Team: Experienced carpenters following standardized hand-finishing procedures.

End-to-End Factory Control: From wood selection to final multi-point inspection.

14. Can you match specific brand colors or add our logo?

Yes, we offer these commercial services. We can customize the finish to match your brand's palette using professional-grade paints and oils. We can incorporate your logo through laser engraving or custom carving, adding a unique brand signature to your pieces.

15. Do you have experience working with commercial clients?

Yes, extensive experience. We have partnered with ski lodges, luxury hotels, resorts, restaurants, AirBNBs, and corporations on branded pieces. We understand the demands of high-use environments and can build furniture that is both durable and photogenic. We provide free design consultations and mockups for commercial projects.

16. What payment terms do you accept for bulk orders?

For first-time collaborations, we typically require a 50% deposit to begin production, with the 50% balance paid before shipment (against a copy of the Bill of Lading). We accept T/T bank transfers. Terms can be discussed for long-term partnerships.

17. How are your products shipped-assembled or disassembled?

Most bulk orders are shipped partially assembled (knock-down versions) with user-friendly hardware to optimize container space. We include clear instructions, videos, and are available for support. Fully assembled shipping via freight is possible but more expensive.

18. Can you accommodate uneven floor surfaces in commercial spaces?

Yes. We build with a wide, balanced base and can include adjustable feet or leveling options if needed for your specific installation environment.
